As Blue Republican racks up new chapters around the country, we are very excited to announce the establishment of our latest chapter – in Arizona.
I am particularly delighted about this one as I have known and worked with Carlos Alfaro, its founding chairman, spreading liberty around the world. He is the kind of man the future of American liberty is made of. Like me, he is an immigrant who has embraced the highest ideals of the United States.

Carlos Alfaro is a full-time student of Economics and American History at Arizona State University. He is a North American Executive Board Member for Students For Liberty. Carlos also leads several student and community activist groups in Arizona including the ASU College Republicans. His main goal is working to spread free-market ideas to people in Arizona and across the country. During breaks from school, he has worked at the Goldwater Institute in Phoenix, and the CATO Institute in Washington, D.C.
Carlos was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
